Stabbing Spree-Akihabara,Tokyo

Shocking News..

'Temp worker stabs 7 to death, injures 10 in Akihabara
Monday 09th June, 06:11 AM JST

TOKYO —
Seven people died and 10 others were injured after a man hit pedestrians with a truck and then stabbed passersby Sunday in broad daylight on a street in Tokyo’s busy Akihabara district, a popular electronics area and a magnet for comic and animation fans.

Police arrested the man, Tomohiro Kato from Susono, Shizuoka Prefecture, on the street and seized a survival knife he was carrying. The 25-year-old temp staffer at an auto component factory in the prefecture admitted to stabbing people with the knife, which had a 13 centimeter blade, from around 12:30 p.m., police said.

‘‘I came alone to Akihabara to kill people,’’ investigative sources quoted Kato as telling police. ‘‘I am tired of the world. Anyone was OK.’’

According to police and hospital officials, six of the seven who died were males and aged from 19 to 74. The other was a 21-year-old female.

Of the seven, at least six had been stabbed and two had been hit by the truck, which was rented in Shizuoka Prefecture.

In addition to the seven, 11 people were taken to hospital after the stabbing rampage. Of these, eight were men, including a 53-year-old traffic police officer who was stabbed in the back while helping people hit by the truck, and two women. The remaining male had sustained no injuries but had blood on his clothing.

According to eyewitnesses, a police officer at a nearby police box who noticed the incident hurried to the scene and found Kato wielding the knife.

The officer initially failed to get hold of the suspect after hitting him with a baton a few times. But Kato put the knife down after the officer drew a handgun and issued a warning, leading to his arrest, the eyewitnesses said.

The Akihabara area was crowded with shoppers as Chuo-dori was vehicle-free for pedestrians. The scene was near the intersection of Chuo-dori and Kanda Myojin-dori streets, only a stone’s throw from JR Akihabara Station. '

this is not the first stabbing spree,

'...There were similar street stabbing rampages earlier this year.In January, a 16-year-old boy attacked five people and injured two of them with kitchen knives on a shopping street in Tokyo’s Shinagawa Ward. A man wanted by police on suspicion of murder stabbed passersby with a knife at an entrance to a shopping mall in Tsuchiura, Ibaraki Prefecture, in March, leaving eight people injured, one of whom died later in hospital. The Akihabara rampage also occurred on the seventh anniversary of a stabbing spree by a man at Ikeda Elementary School in Osaka Prefecture on June 8, 2001.The attacker, Mamoru Takuma, was executed for killing eight children and injuring 15 others in that case.'

MANDARAs....

some pictures to share...^^

Below pictures are taken from my mom's and relatives trip to India's Bodhgaya....in December.
Kind of religious tripp i can say..
And it was when i thought below effects are camera effect, it struck me when i m actually seeing it at Qi Xiang's blog where he was at some religious ceremony.
That's why i decided to post it up..

ok, fyi, i m regarding to the pale coloured ORBS,

namely the MANDARA.

round in shape, and can only be captured under camera's flash lights.

There was only a few in QX's photo, but there were UNCOUNTABLE ammount of them in the photos my mom took from the trip. ACCORDING 2 THEM, those are some unexplainable spiritual thingy which croud around places where religious ceremony are going on, and the place where below photos were took are at a really grand ceremony, crowded by thousands of lhamas and long sessions of prayers were conducted. By the way, its definitely NOT camera effect. cause everyone captured it that night.

YEA........
hard to explain.....hard to believe...

"where got such thing 1....dun bluff la...camera effect.."
says me....
look below....
.....

Before the ceremony....

the lhamas, oung and adults and a small amount of MANDARAs..

A Pic of my aunt with the lhamas, and the big" orb"--MANDERA

the clear view of the UNCOUNTABLE MANDARAs at the ceremony.

the mandaras and the 'line'----there wasnt any light deco in the sky, nothing above to be tied to, and it just shot out in the mid. btw, they couldn't even see it without the photo session.
haha...the funny part is, there was even a photo from my uncle, where the line shot INTO his head, i saw it, but photo not with me...maybe get it fr him someday...
ER......I SERIOUSLY think that it is camera effect.
by the way, not every mandaras comes in an orb shape but diamond shapes too, which are rare...
now i feel like i m crapping.....
because i m talking bout' something that even I DON'T believe.....

Richard Clayderman LIVE @ Genting H.

21st December..

so, i was There.

as it was at peak season, hotels were all packed, and we were so lucky to be spared a room from a friend. and it cost RM190, but at non peak seasons, it is for FREE. but no complains...gud enough for last minute people like us. others booked months ago for this period. and for the first time i learn that checking-in the hotel also need to take numbers like what we do in banks. With 100 over people in front of us, we waited at the lobby, which was really PACKED. people crowded at the lobby really look like refugees, with luggage and everything...haha...

the christmas deco at the lobby...

the fruit counter-didnt bought anything, but i like the deco alot..^^

we got into the room for like 1 hr later, and well, the room not as small as i had expected lar.. but the walls are too thin that we can hear lots of chinapeks talking whenever they pass our door, and through the mini toilet( the same as what v got in airplanes--or u can say cubicle), we can hear our neighbour...talking larr..consider very good environment dy though...clean and all.

by 8pm, we were at the Arena Of Stars.
My family went to watch the performance of 'Fly Defy Gravity' which thanks to k.wah, i got 2 free tickets, and bought 1 for my father will do. Actually i felt like watching that also...but cant be greedy...one at a time...haha..

Fly Defy Gravity--optic illusion, skillful acts and stuff..

okayy....i may go watch some other day .....sounds really fun..i like this kind of shows, but exceptionally..i dun like circus.

anyway, in our arena....

before it starts...

The band members came in first...
the accompany group consist of:

1 celloist, 2 violinist( 1 violin, 1 viola), 2 guitarist, 2 pianist and 1 percussionist.

and ...

it BEGINS....

ALIVE!!!

the piano was so black that it was almost unseen before the stage lights were on( or my eyes are simply too small) and thinking that it would dramatically descend from the top....
haha....silly me..

he started off with a quick chromatic piece, sounded like some kind of repetitive scale, going up in sequence ...and his fingers are really articulated!! almost as robotic...

the strings and the keyboard on the left

the guitarist, the percussionist, and the keyboard on the right

haha..sad to said that till that day only i know that he is A FRENCH!!! i had always thought that he is an ENGLISH. he cant really speak fluently in English, and most of the time he spoke French, and we have to go guessing ...and he is quite a joker, which makes the whole live show interesting and fun as well!!

the on-going performance...

I notice that he mumbles a lot during is performance, curious what's he mumbling though..

the pieces that night was overall fantastic!! 'Liang Zhu', or as known as The Butterfly Lover's theme song was played too, one of that night's hit song, and two other chinese theme, i dun get the name...others are superb too, i like the one during the break, where he went to change, and the band members soloed for a moment before he join in again.Like it alot, but whats d name??? duno le...those who went, pls let me know if u know. tq.

there was this cute part where he actually gave out his music scores right after the performance!! the first one was after Liang Zhu was played. but his action was not quite understood by the audience, and only one came out for the score!! and of course he/she (cant remember) got it... but after that, u can see crowds rushing out for the scores, which was to be given out. he gave out total 3 music scores. haha...the way he teased the crowd was quite funny..
ppl even waited in front of the stage before the song ended, just for his scores, and kena chased back by guards.

the crowd...

and bigger crowd...madness.

we were sited on the above floor, so cant b jumping down right....the vip seats are on great advantage..

for encore, he got us a Christmas song as Christmas was around the corner, aahhh.!!! there was Ballade Pour Adeline he played!!! wow.....live vers so much diff from cd vers..the crowd cheered like mad wei...other songs were mostly fast tempo except for the 3 chinese themed ones.

really enjoyed throughout the performance..

and thanks for being with me!!

my sweet friend....

A Famosa Resort~

In order to replace my mum's place(she went India), i went on behalf of her to their company's trip to A Famosa Resort for 2 days 1 night.

the whole process is started with a treasure hunt, by car.
so in a number of 4, i join my parents colleagues which i just met a day before. there were 18 cars participating this treasure hunt, including ours.

to cut the whole process short, it goes like this:

1. arriving at 7am
2.meeting up with members
3.car deco (with flags, banners and suff..)
4.breakfast( super hot nasi lemak---*hot tears*)
5.briefing( so that u wont get lost..)
6.zerorising the car meter
7.receiving the list of clues and procedures
8.flag off
9.START!!!!

v started in the city center of KL...

Due to lack of experience in treasure hunts like this,
plus the honks-honks by frustrated cars ( we are going in extremely slow speed---to catch clue), we FORGOT to stop at all!! (we are suppose to stop as we want to seek answers, without reversing the car/turning bk- to keep accurate reading of meter) so, ended up missing 2 clues..so...tembak lar...

Out of KL, things ran quite smoothly. we managed to maintain accurate meter reading, and of course stopping along roadside to look for answers, collected 'treasures' (including a pitcher fr A&W, some forms and a box of KFC--that sort of things lar....quite out of my expectations actually..) other questions given were all related to the buildings, billboards, and thing that u could see, meaning, the answer in just in front of u.
open eyes big-big will do.
we got most though..

we started at 8.17 am, and arrived at A FAMOSA RESORT at 12 p.m. The journey was slow, brain-stormed, although it was quite a short distance.
overall, it was fun and enjoyable..

the later process:
1. register arrival at A Famosa Water Park
2. linger around
3. lunch ( with others who are not from Central Region--not all came through treasure hunt)
4. telematch( it was raining, all soaked and drenched..plus sand and dirt..)
5. got back to bungalows( 4 sets in a bungalow)
6. dinner at Cowboy town----where the results are out!!

There was loads of jokers.
one of the treasures needed , mentioned in the paper :
" a box of KFC with 2 pieces"
its supposed to say,
"A box of KFC, With 2 pieces of CHICKEN" .
and there was a group of joker who simply sent in 2 pieces of the neatly folded KFC 'BOX'.yea..safe the trouble of waiting to buy lar....we all did it though...waited till 10.30 am for the shop to open, while looking around for clues..
and the pitcher required from A & W, was actually a 'pitcher' of Root Beer, in the MENU.
aNd there are ppl sending in the JUG , or u can say MUG, from A & W. Dunno how they managed to get it ... Steal? i suppose...it is not on sale!!! just for serving wise!!
haha...these ppl are really funny, with all those ridiculous answers to the questions...

and...we didnt won.
there were other contestants who are more accurate in answers.

the prizes are as below..

1st :big-big hamper
1st runner up
: medium hamper

2nd runner up: small hamper

and i am kind of ....dissapointed.
hamper only ka???

humph....anyway, the cowboy town was quite interesting...,

the statue, right in front of the cowboy town..

and the fire works...
(i didnt brought my cam, it went india wit my mom..so credits to my fren who took this)

we went for the red indian show, musical parade,fireworks...bla.. bla....

money matters everywhere. there was this tiger, in the shopping villa, which we had to pass through to watch the shows and parade. and they actually limited the walking space by BLOCKS, to FORCE tourists to take pic with their red indian, which stood with the tiger---ONE BY ONE.
So it almost took us 1 DAMN HOUR to pass through the stage, to the show. and each photo cost for RM21.00 IF you are willing to buy. But whether u want it or not, they FORCED u to take pic 1st!!! so frustrated at that time. the Red Indian's job is to pose, and block tourist in NARROWED line to take pictures with him. REALLY, everything there is all commercially planned.
MONEY MATTERS FOR EVERY SINGLE THING.
( except our dinner lar--paid by the company.)

went back around 11.00pm in my room-mate's car. and meet up with WY from U6A.
just soo coincidentally, i m on the same date with their class trip, and even lived near to each other!! so went to their room and stayed till 12 sumthing midnight..
their class trip, is really a class trip. where almost everyone participated. quite a BIG party they have. They occupied two bungalows, and....i dun think they bother to sleep at all lar..... busied themselves gambling, dancing(on the machine thingy they brought), unos , and stuff...

as for food is super expensive, i almost laugh my head off when i saw their food storage. erm...they looked like refugees.... food, esp junk food, in piles and piles of them...water( they brought themselves),rice, cold storage(for bbq), and i even saw quite a number of boxes of cheesecake from JUSCO.
erm....i brought nothing though...^^

their rooms really differ ALOT from ours. the room stinked so much, that WY and her friend broke the "MAY" soap into bits(by using what i dunoo..) and hung it in a plastic bag in front of the air-cond. they even threw some bits into the flap of the air-cond to "refresh" the air...
very very....IMPRESSIVE...to think of something like that..i suggested diluting 'shokubutsu' , which can produce a better odour...haha...but its a waste lar!! really had loads of fun with them...haha...didnt go to own class trip but bumped into their's instead....

btw...i slept ALONE that night b'coz i went bk to my room too late, my roomate was asleep..( 2 in a room) as there is a spare room( total 4), i shifted my stuff, and slept in that spare room which consist of 2 beds.
athough not 1st time sleeping alone outside, still, had to try my best to wave of those creepy thoughts...didnt thought too much..off the lights and almost immediately off.. thats the purpose of getting myself dead tired...so that i wont get chance to think too much...haha..and slept really well!!

there was sharing session the next day by some singaporeans...which i almost dozed off..and bk to KL..IN an HOUR!! We took almost 4 hrs ++ to come, and drove bk within 1 hr.. haha...er---140km/hr...

i not the driver o'coz....
